If you are looking for tourist information, I would suggest that you go to the guide book of your choice. I have provided just a few links about tourism. What you will find above is information for individuals: living in the Toscana (Tuscany) region of Italy, spending some time in that region or planning to come to this region of Italy.

To keep this blog entry from becoming too long, I have broken it up into two parts. Next Tuesday, 26 June, Part 2 will be available with further information about the Toscana (Tuscany) region of Italy.

That's it for Tuesday, 19 June 2007: martedì, 19 giugno 2007.

However, in 2006, my wife and I spent 3 nights in an apartment listed under APARTMENT RENTAL above, Rent Our Apartment! – Fano, Marche as a guest of the owner, Mark Pukita AKA Marco. We greatly enjoyed spending time in Fano in this new, modern, two bedroom apartment. It is located a block outside the old walled portion of Fano. The apartment is within walking distance of the beach, stores, shops and many fine restaurants. A very nice bakery is next door to the apartment building.

My wife, Martha, and I have only spent a little time in the LeMarche region. We have just scratched the surface of this beautiful and charming region of Italy. In 2005, we just drove through a part of the LeMarche region traveling from Tuscany to Casperia in the Lazio region. In 2006, we spent 4 days and 3 nights in Fano in an apartment and 3 days and 2 nights in Numana at a hotel on the beach. We enjoyed Fano so much that we looked at a few apartments in this Italian town.

Between the two of us, we have traveled at 16+ times to Italy since the late 80's from North to South and East to West and back again. Staying a few days, a week or up to 4 weeks in various regions of Italy. We have rented houses and/or apartments in Tuscany and Umbria and stayed at hotels and B&B's in other parts of Italy. We usually lease a car from Renault EuroDrive for stays over 17 days in Nice and drive over the border to Italy. We have found leasing a brand new card is less expensive than renting a car in Italy. However, this year, I rented a car via AutoEurope because I was in Italy for less than 2 weeks.

Right now, the Marche region is at the top of the list on where we may live when we move to Italy in the next 2 - 3 years. I'll be writing more about this region in the future and after our 2007 trip to Italy.

That's it for Tuesday, 12 September 2006: martedì, 12 settembre 2006.
