Broken links: Since November, 2005, I have written over 300+ blog entries with 1,000's of corresponding links/URLs for Moving2Italy2, covering a varied and wide range of topics. In the event if you come across a broken link or a non-functioning link/URL, please post a comment and report the non-functional link. I wish to thank you in advance for assisting me in the ongoing maintenance and the updating of this successful and informative blog.

Please note: I do NOT represent or endorse any of these links nor do I receive payment for listing them in my blog.

I would like to dedicate this blog entry to the memory of LTC Frank P. Taccarino, USA (Ret.) and CPO Benjamin Licodo, USN, (Ret.). These two fathers and husbands instilled in their children that they could do anything, if they got out into the world and tried it and their love of travel. These men and their supportive wives, Hattie and Beatrice, are remembered and missed.

The intent of this blog entry is to provide information of interest to U.S. Military personnel (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine, Navy), DOD and Civilian Agencies employees, defense/government contractors with an appropriate SOFA ID card and military retirees, with or without dependants that are PCSing (moving) or relocating to Italy. This blog entry is to complement existing available "Official" information from the Services or Agency sending an individual with or without dependents to Italy. What you will find is cross-service and/or cross-agency information that provides many, many sources of information on the Internet (web) about PCSing (relocating and moving) to Italy or OCONUS.

It should be noted that some of the above web sites are restricted to active duty or retired service personnel and/or registration on the web site is required. The above links are a sampling of links for those individuals either U. S. Military or U. S. Government with or without dependants that are PCSing (relocating) primarily to Italy or elsewhere. Some of these sites are official web sites from a branch of the Service or a facility/base in Italy and others are commercial ventures and are for profit entities.

Enjoy Italy or wherever you are PCSing to in the world!

That's it for Saturday, 31 December 2005: sabato, 31 dicembre 2005.

Felice Nuovo Anno!

Ciao, Ben

Today’s quote is an Italian proverb, author unknown.

"Chi s'aiuta, Dio l'aiuta."
"God helps those who help themselves."
